“Over the years, I’ve worked on many comics that I’m proud of, but there is nothing like doing a relevant story with eternal value. I’ve done Spiderman, The Avengers, Wonder Woman, and more. All those characters and stories will someday end, but the stories and impact of The Action Bible will last forever. It is a privilege and the honor of a lifetime for a Christian cartoonist to get to draw and bring to life God’s own stories.” - Sergio Cariello (illustrator)

My 8 and 6 yo sons absolutely love this comic version of the Bible! Since they received it as a gift three months ago, they have read it almost everyday on their own without fail. The well drawn, colourful pictures and conversational style of The Action Bible make the stories come alive. This has been extra helpful for my older son who has short attention span and finds it difficult to read long text from the Bible to focus and deepen his faith through reading this book. And while my 6yo may not be able to read all the words yet, the awesome pictures alone speak for itself. It motivates him to learn new words and read the book on his own. I also like the accuracy and clarity of the stories. It is no way the same as the Bible (since it is a still storybook) but the message is definitely consistent with the Word. I love how it compliments our actual Bible reading and makes it more fun because my kids have already been introduced to many of stories and characters through this book. * Bonus* There is an audio version (dramatized) of The Action Bible that follows the book word for word. We usually borrow the audio book from our local library and it has made the reading experience even more interactive for my children. I would recommend this book for kids 6yo and above. Some drawings of the battle scenes and the language used may be slightly too realistic for younger children. However, it is nothing compared to what is currently put out there in the media. There is definitely no sex, nakedness or gore. Overall, I would highly recommend this book.
